Not an easy problem seems.
If you cannot find anything wrong in registry and Start menu item, check
each folder in Programs and Files. Check one by one to see if any strange
names and files. If find them, tell me.
If still fails.....
Last advise if you fail on others:
First bkup your "My documents" and "My Desktop" -- guess these are places you
put your stuff.
Then run win2k installation CD, choose clean install. Then give the old windows
folder. It will ask you if to repair. Say YES.
