My experience to be a respectable manager:
1. Most important - can do the job your direct report does
2. Set up clear expectations to all direct reports up front
3. Be fair - apply same standards to all direct reports
4. Be direct and tough - Be Honest with them and never hesitate to deliver
constructive feedback. Do not avoid difficult conversations.
5. Own their development - my direct report's success is my success
6. be positive in all situations
7. Respect my direct report
8. Seek mentors t
