If you think this way, you should post your resume and the position you want
here. Let people take a look and see if you fit the position.
I think it is ok if you want to find a more direct contact within IBM to
better explain why you think you fit the position.
However, you did not do that. All you posted was you want to find someone work
at IBM. If you don't provide information how can people help?
And I do not believe in "Chinese should help Chinese". I believe in "people
should help people".

IMO there are two kinds of referral. The first is just forwarding the resume
to HR or hiring manager then forget about it. The second is when you
personally know the HR or hiring manager that you can ask them to pay special
attention to the resume. Besides forwarding the resume you will say some good
word on this person. I've done both. The first one is not very helpful, almost
no difference from submitting the resume directly. The second way can be very
useful but I want to be careful when doin
