my experience is to always estimate how much time you need for one job.
say, you think you can finish it in 1 hour, then tell your boss 80 minutes or
so.
then both your boss and you have an idea when it will be done.
if he is in a hurry, he would have let you know when you accept the job and
you guys would have made an alternative plan. and he would not just come to
you to say you are too slow.
it is always good to let you boss know how you work and how fast you work,
even if you are not paid by
