Position Summary
As part of the Visualization Systems Team the Systems Technician is
responsible for the maintenance, support and installation for all of the IT,
AV and VR hardware within the KAUST Visualization Laboratory http://kvl.kaust.edu.sa/Pages/Home.aspx). The System Techniciain will participate in the design and definition of future developments for the laboratory installations, as well as provide feedback on concept designs regarding new research facilities being deployed for KVL projects. When required, the candidate might need to travel to assist in the installation of particular equipment for events where the laboratory is involved in.
Major Responsibilities
• Maintenance, support and installation of a wide variety of
hardware in the Lab, including but not limited to full PC maintenance and
installation, projector installation, display installation, minor structural
work (not civil work) to support A/V equipment, equipment cabling, etc.
• Attending to systems tickets filed by the laboratory staff when
systems fail.
• Diagnosis and repair of failed equipment and/or coordinating
ordering of required replacement parts.
• Help in the organization and stock of store rooms for laboratory
consumables.
Qualifications
• Degree or Diploma in a technical field
• 1 to 3 years’ experience in IT or AV support

确实一开始学习应该用urtext，因为urtext免去了编译者的影响，给你足够的空间去揣
摩音乐，揣摩作曲家的原意。但是urtext也有很多公司出，有些做的好有些做的未必好。
贝多芬的话就用Henle好了，也是市面最流行的。有一套用了几十年的全集版，Wallner
编的。另外从去年还是前年开始，Perahia开始为Henle编一套新版的，现在已经发行的
有Op. 14两首，Op. 22, 26, 28, Op. 31的三首，Op.101.这些是我见到的，可能还有
其它已经出版的。
莫扎特的urtext，Barenreiter做的最好，Wiener Urtext也不错。海顿就用Wiener
Urtext或者Henle好了。
等到urtext用等到urtext用过一阵以后，就可以参考一些带注释的版本。贝多芬的话，
推荐以下几版：
1. Schnabel编的版本，注解狂细狂多，不光是记号，每页底下还有很多文字的描述，
非常推荐。这套的老版已经绝版了，好在Alfred买了版权，重新发行。Amazon就能买。
买的时候要看清楚，Alfred发行两套贝多芬，一套是Schnabel的，一套是Schenker的。
2. ABRSM出的版本, ABRSM=Associated Board of Royal School of Music,就是英皇下
面的出版社，Tovey编的。这套也是加了很多踏板和表情以及文字的注释，但是编者把
自己加的记号都做了标记，所以可以看到哪些是编者的，哪些是贝多芬自己的。这套在
美国不大好买，最好四周有专门的谱子店，可以让他们订，否则就要从英国买，邮费不
便宜。插一句，这个Donald Francis Tovey是研究贝多芬的大家，有一本他写的小册子
也非常推荐：A companion to Beethoven's Pianoforte Sonatas. 里面对每一首奏鸣
曲都有Bar-to-Bar的analysis，不是很艰深的理论分析，但是读起来非常有收获。
贝多芬奏鸣曲还有另外一些版本也可以看看，比如Bulow的版本，Schirmer出版的，以
及Schenker的版本，Universal Edition出版的，在美国可以买到Dover的再版，这两套
都可以Amazon买，都很便宜。另外还有一套Arrau编的版本，Peters出的（Peters有好
几套贝多芬，要分清楚），我还没有看过，所以不敢评论。

对，henle, wiener urtext, barenreiter这些urtext一般都比较贵。在美国又不是很
care版本的话，很多谱子可以买Dover和Schirmer的，非常便宜。

谱子是比一般的学术书便宜，搞个胖子甚至比国内还便宜

I am vely vely poor. I buy music published by Dover. By the way, sometimes,
you can get nice URTEXT published by Chinese publishers with minimum cost.
