It is easier for them to get visa directly from their country (H1). One indian friend told me it is easy to be manager: you just need to break tasks and set a schedule :)
Very cute post. What's even better is all the advices are actionable. Good stuff! Also, study football if you don't yet understand it. No one forced us to move to America. It is as much of a country of theirs as it is mine because I also call America home. As such, why not do what the Romans do when in Rome? Learn to be sincerely nice to people (not faking it), to smile and to joke. To pick up the phone just to say hi 'cause I have been thinking about something that you are part of or such. Quit being race conscious or nationality conscies. It irks me when I read see the term "hanjian". It suddenly became a meaningless Chinese word in the wake of your journy as soon as you started this journey of your own choosing on your way to be an American years ago. Come on. Wake up and smell the North American roses...
Try to use social network to expand your friends, such as facebook, linkedin , and twitter. When attending conferences, I always show my personal web site and twitter account in talk slides, and add friends into linkedin.

I completely agree. 还有就是不用总是想着和别的团体/集团去争去抢,发展自己的团体是目前最重要的。
