Missi is a Testudo Horsfieldii Horsfieldii, also known as an Afghan Tortoise
. Missi is a special girl in general, she has such a wonderful character it
is unbelievable for any tortoise I have ever known in my entire life. Since
a little baby Missi has forever been curious and affectionate. She comes
when called, in fact she comes over to you just for a good shell scratch and
a gentle chin rub. She answers to her name which is great! Ever want to
know where she is? You just yell out and she appears within seconds and
looks at you as if to say "what now?". Missi also has attitude, if she doesn
't like something she shell bashes it, if it doesn't go down she mounts it
so she thinks she is dominating it... from a tiny pebble to a big rock...she
will take it down one way or another. She is an interesting and funny pet,
and we love her very much!
