Analytical Chemist
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The analytical chemist will report to the Scientific Director and maintain
the integrity of the data collected from chemical analyses on cannabis
products. The ideal candidate will have years of proven experience in method
development, verification, and validation, using GC/MS and LC/MS MRMs. Must
be able to think independently, communicate effectively, and set up
experiments with minimal direction. Must be able to review large data sets
using multiple reaction monitoring on LC/MS Triple Quad. Must be comfortable
working with cannabis.
REQUIRED:
BS or higher degree in Chemistry or Biochemistry, or related discipline.
Master degree preferred
Must have proven experience with method validation
2-4 years' work experience with LC/MS Triple Quad and/or GC/MS Triple Quad
Experience with HPLC, GC-MS, and ICP-MS
May work with hazardous materials and chemicals
Exhibit detail oriented documentation skills
Ability to follow directions
Ability to effectively organize, multitasks, and works in a fast-paced,
deadline driven work environment.
Excellent written and oral communications skills
Ability to communicate in a proactive and solutions-focused manner,
including keeping management aware of potential issues.
Ability to work independently and manage one's time
Basic computer knowledge, including Microsoft word and excel (used daily)
Communicate effectively and ability to function well in a team environment
Experience in a food testing or environmental testing laboratory is highly
preferred.
