很多人都比较喜欢中国古代的茶文化，这个也是中华古典文化里面很重要的一种文化，
直接到了世界上很多国家，但是茶点文化，却没有茶本身这么人气高，最近看了一些古
代书籍和宫廷剧，中式茶点其实完全不输给西式甜点的。
西式甜点作为下午茶的茶点，一般都是各种蛋糕和饼干，能量很高，甜度也比较高，而
中式茶点，无论是花样还是口感都是强于西式甜点的。
大家比较熟悉的就是桂花糕、锅巴、云片糕、糯米糕，红豆糕，绿豆饼，还有核桃酥，
蜜三刀和开口笑等等，就连江米条也是中式茶点，除此之外，各个不同的省市还有属于
自己的特色，比如花生酥，椒盐酥等等。
现在中国强大了，西方人来探索中华文化的也越来越多，自己作为中国人想要更好的了

same feeling here, especially when hearing that a lot of schools already
sent out interview invitations. I am just forgotten by all these schools.

个人觉得发出去的application如果没有收到onsite invitation，就不用去想等着。没
用。继续move on发简历，找职位，把手头的paper赶紧写了发出去。
如果你收到了onsite invitation，那就更不用等了，赶紧准备slides，budget plan，
找同学老师做rehearsal，video camera录下自己的presentation仔细观摩，好好改进。
哪有时间这么郁闷的等interview的啊？

Already have slides and presented to our faculty. Not motivated to do

did, and they are all after this fixed pool of American students. Did not
think it could be this tough.

top candidates pick which schools to join). Our schools invited accounting/
finance candidates ten days ago. Econ dept is still not set yet... Some of
our accounting students get jobs in April, a month before graduation.

is the latter, I can still have some hope. Otherwise, I have to seriously

Both scenarios happened before. Sometimes the schools invite only a small
number of candidates to campus within a short time frame. Then, depending on
how things go, they may invite more. If they liked a candidate and made an
offer, then they will not invite more candidates once the offer is accepted.
But the top schools normally do not do that. Our school typically
interviews candidates every year in most of the departments, but may not
hire anyone if no one qualifies or if the person we made offer to turns it
down. Some non-top schools (say with ranks after 20 or 30) may do interview
candidates on a rolling basis. So, if you get a rejection letter, then it
means you are below their minimum thresholds. But if you do not hear from
them, you still have some hope. Basically, they are keeping an option in
case they do not get their top choices.

of Chicago and London Business School so far. Not sure whether schools still
send out rejection letters (emails) these days, or are they actually
keeping me as an option as you said. Hopefully it is the latter.
