Meeting a Squirrel
At the old park wandering, I met you.
A casual weekend afternoon that is.
Why all the haste? my darling, I asked you,
In running through grass, trees and rose bushes.
So busy I noted you were, thereupon,
I mumbled to the air some words gently.
To my startlers you quickly turned around.
To the bark hooked back feet, front hands empty.
There, up side down, on an old ash tree,
You performed such acrobatics, staring
Into my eyes like a lizard stayed still.
The passers-by thought you a plastic toy!
One moment, two moments, and three moments...
No vexation, as we all love you lots!

Wish you all a merry Mid-Autumn Day!
祝大家中秋快樂! :)
