给两个想去的实验室的教授写了信，附上了CV, 但是都没有回音。不知道是不是因为自
己有gap的原因，我把自己在cover letter里关于gap的一段贴在下面了，这里有很多高
手，请大家帮我看看这么写有什么不妥吗？多谢大家帮助。
As you will also see from my CV, I took some time off from bench work since
the birth of my babies and I moved from xxx to yyy where my husband works at
. But taking care of my children never ceased me from science. During the
off time, I balanced my time and wrote papers. One of them was accepted by
aaa two weeks ago, another one was published on bbb, and the third one is
under writing. The off time let me review my previous research well and find
out the next research I really want to do. Now I am in a good shape to
return to research work again.

这个问题有点小白，但是因为很重要，还是请教一下大家。
我查询一个公司是否E-verify是通过USCIS的官方网站：
https://www.uscis.gov/e-verify/about-program/e-verify-employers
我在employer name 栏里面填上公司的名字，然后点击filter。
结果弹出来了，第一栏employer name 就是我填的想要查询的公司的名字（地址也对）
第二栏 federal contractor 是‘NO’第三栏 E-verify employer agent 也是'NO'.
现在的问题是：是不是第一栏能够查出来我想要的公司，就说明这个公司是e-verify的？
我原来凭感觉，以为要看第三栏，第三栏是‘YES’才是。
之所以这么想，一定程度是是误解了agent的意思，以为agent做机构，组织解释。
但是看到本页第一句话：
The search tool covers currently enrolled employers, federal contractors,
and E-Verify Employer Agent (EEAs) in E-Verify through January 5, 2016.
按这句话的意思，第一栏出现的就是currently enrolled employers。
大家觉得呢？

猫猫前几天在家里熟悉环境，还比较活泼，到今天也熟悉的差不多了，猫猫特别活泼，
就喜欢往人身上

federal contractor:no
e-verify employer"no
可能不是e-varify,不过得问小米才能确定。
federal contractor:yes
or
e-verify employer"yes
确定是e verify

If you are in a subject that requires lab activities, I don't see why
unemployed research makes sense.
If you are in a subject that does not require a lab (say math) then you do
not need to mention your gap since your publications show everything you
have done and no one cares if they were done at home.

多谢大家。看来我这么写是没说清楚。我与原实验室的工作关系在我搬家后不久就结束
了。我后来写的文章是用从前的数据写的，而且是和上一个老板一起发表的，而不是最
后一个老板那里的数据，尽管研究方向是类似的。这种不拿钱只是总结以前数据写文章
的事情怎么能描述清楚呢？
另外，孩子要去daycare也要告诉对方么？
写的很多的原因是因为想说自己虽然没有去工作，但是一直在阅读最新的文献，并且撰
写文章，没有完全脱离学术界，只写哪年到哪年孩子出生，是不是太简单了呢？
