系里有个讨厌的老印，但是只有年轻的女老师知道他为人很坏，在别的人面前他伪装得
很好。他前面几年学术作的不错，所以现在就是吃老本还是有一些跟别人合作的
funding，所以以前有女老师投诉他性骚扰，结果系主任保他，他安然无恙，那个投诉
的女老师反而走了去了别的学校。我新来的，这些都是听系里另外一个女老师告诉我的
，她也曾经被骚扰过，但是敢怒不敢言，现在她结婚了，那厮就很少去找她了。
我刚来的第一个月不知道这个老印的为人，他请我去吃午饭，我觉得同事之间应该连络
一下就去了，结果他三天两头跑到我办公室来约我出去喝茶，我觉得不太对劲了才了解
到他原来是这样的人。以后他找我，我就以工作忙为由推脱了。但是他锲而不舍，过个
一周就来问一下。而且今天还给我丢下很话：i will not ask you, you tell me next
time when you have time。这是他的原话。同系的女老师建议我不要去投诉，说可能
没用而且会让别人对我的印象不好，而且这个老印还是学校p&t的成员。我该怎么办？
很闹心。
不是坑，也不要发帖讽刺，坏人到处有，我只是运气不好。应该是我们系的女老师运气
都不好。

大家听说过这个recuiter公司吗？tajtech.com，今天给我打电话，发一些题给我做。
感觉好多职位都是recuiter贴出来的，这几天收到好几个电话。这些recuiter对找工作

加州的国际学生的数量多年来一直居全美排名前列。然而今年5月，移民局发布了一项
严格计算F、J 、M签证持有者在美国非法滞留时间及惩罚后果的备忘录，并于8月9日正
式实施。为此，南加州律师及资深留学生代办人提醒国际学生应重视，要做分内之事。
按照该备忘录的规定，F学生签证和M职业学生签证及其家属（F-1、F-2、M-1、M-2）、
访问学者签证及其配偶（J-1、J-2），一旦非移民合法身份失效，第二天就算非法滞留。
单次非法逗留时间超过180天的人，可能未来3到10年被禁止入境美国；累积超过一年的
非法滞留期，将永久不再有机会入境美国。换言之，被惩罚之人在被禁期间通常无资格
申请签证、入境或调整永久居留身份，除非特殊豁免。
不过，逾期滞留的惩罚不算是新法律，以往就存在。但此次备忘录强调了严格的执行力
度，差了一天都不行。只要你今天不在学校，或者某些原因你的身份被取消掉，从那当
下开始你就是非法停留了。
即便身份被取消的原因不完全是学生的失误，以往可以随时递交身份恢复的申请，但如
今有了这个备忘录，会让恢复申请过程更加困难。而有些学生请假不通知学校、或不到
学校上课，都会造成彻底失去身份。一旦移民局调查后认为是欺骗，就会永远有个黑纪
录。
近年来，国际学生中来自中国的留学生频传作弊、造假等欺诈事件，引发移民局的关注
。洛杉矶资深留学生代办人陈先生表示，以往可能会存在一些灰色地带，但现在移民局
是明确警告了。
如果国际学生是在求学期间，做了不适合所持身份的事情，例如，在外打工、选课学分
不够、违反学校规定、在考试时作弊等，因此而丢失了身份，对本人是非常大的打击。
他们基本上离开美国，也没有太大机会能够再返回美国继续学业。
而在学生签证失效之后，如果非法滞留，并以原本的身份领取移民福利的人，一旦被法
院知道，就会被驱逐出境。

现在东岸，夫妻俩加一个孩子，绿卡遥遥排期中。
收入属于中等华人家庭吧，撑了个房子，孩子刚上小学，送私校。
工作上都不是很顺心，我们的老板都比较BT，她commute比较长，我需要加班比较多。
现在有猎头挖我去中西部大农村。稳定性上说公司是一个非常大的集团，机会上说正好
赶上整个部门的重建，能去当头打造自己的团队和服务，薪水上大概能拿到现在我们两
个的收入总和略低一点吧，不过那地方的总体expense远远低于我们这里(大概Average
房价listing对比是650k vs 250k)，所以如果不考虑这边的各种其他资源如博物馆/公
园/学校等，生活水准上能过得很好了。孩子的学校会差不少,本地的公立学校有好几所
在全国排名前100，甚至有前5的。那边最好的公立学校排名600多。
老婆已经在H1b第7年，她的工作能support绿卡的不多，同时也担心一家维系在我一个
人身上不安全，所以她不想挪。所以她希望我要去的话就两地飞，她这边一个人照顾孩
子。这样显然对我们家里的每一个人都很困难。我的意思是先两地2个月，如果那边我
能打开局面就全家过去。

The online status unchanged and we did not recieve any electronic notice. No
SR (think about to do SR next week.)
I guess this month they do work on the Julyer's 485, they just chose to use
mail to inform people. Be patinet , more and more Julyer will be greened
soon.
BTW, We live in Dallas, very close to TSC.
I have 28 Baozi to distribute:).

这个不但不好笑，说实话其实我曾经有过完全类似的想法。。。就是语音搜索完全可以
让CALL CENTER里的人代为敲字检索，而且那样做还特别符合国内人工便宜的中国特色
条件。不得不说看到这条新闻我觉得如果属实的话，他们真的走在现在所有语音搜索的
前头了。。。

老印没个好东西！对这种人，千万不能懦弱了。你越懦弱，他却觉得你有机可乘。想专
门找你出去什么的，就借口不去。平时面子上过去就行了。最好的办法是带个录音笔在
身上，如果他再骚扰你，录下音。抓住他的把柄，他就老实了。直接告诉他，如果再这
样，就直接投诉警察局，投诉学校的根本吓不着这王八蛋。

这么说吧，RECRUITER 对找CONTRACTOR的工作，帮助非常大，很多公司不会把
CONTRACTOR 贴网上，直接把“订单”下给了RECRUITER。
CONTRACTOR基本(95%?)不SPONSOR,所以，CONTRACTOR基本是给公民和绿卡的。不是给国
际学生的。
RECRUITER对H1B 的学生好像不是很有兴趣，即使招FULL TIME 职位的RECRUITER,也是
如此。如果你没有美国工作经验，刚毕业，要找初级职位，又要H1B，对RECRUITER就不
要抱任何希望了。
但建议你去面试，做题，练练面试的技巧，不要浪费这个机会。

这就又要说到专利官司了。就算有之前类似的专利，在是否侵犯类似专利的认证和判定上我觉得会很困难。比如说，如果一方坚持说答案内容那些CALL CENTER的OPERATOR不是用专利覆盖的任何一种“WEB SEARCH”工具得到的，甚至都不是“SEARCH”得到的，而是他们就自己知道，是EXPERT。那个专利官司就很难打了。
我没有IPHONE4S，谁有的可以试试那个APP问一些印度相关问题，比如问which Indian state is the capital city New Delhi located... 这个问题GOOGLE上没有直接相关的条目，甚至新德里本身自己就是类似一个STATE的行政地位。如果回答非常快和合理，估计上述新闻就是属实的了。
还有，如果觉得该问题不够TOUGH，还可以问一个问题：which Indian festival was on October 15 in 2011...上周六晚上我散步看到很多老印家庭手里举着托盘里面有食品饮料在外面走，我好奇就问了其中一家，原来上周六是老印的一个什么节日。但是好像是北印度的节日，从对这个节日的熟悉程度还可以猜出CALL CENTER的位置，大致。

其实就是很头疼应该怎么安排。
如果到了新公司打开局面了的话，怎么把老婆说服过去。
这么两地下来绝对不是办法。
老婆指责我自私自利，只考虑自己的职业发展，不考虑家庭和孩子。

这个问题很简单。家庭为重。除非你们两个都到中部工作，否则就不用动了。而且绿卡
比什么都重要。先等到绿卡再考虑别的。

WOW, 这个要顶，对所有的FRESH GRADUATE 绝对有激励作用，你是我看到这么的中国学
生要H1B,没工作经验的，在今天这个烂市场下，通过RECRUITER找到工作的。
我自己的同学曾经通过RECRUITER 转过一次工作,但她好像有EAD了。
确认一下，你要申请H1B,还是用OPT 帮他们工作个一年先？？就是那种长期的
CONTRACTOR, 如果OPT,还得另说。如果是H1B,真挺牛的.

已经没有OPT了，只有fresh graduate才有OPT吧？
他们要先帮我申请到H1B，我才能开始替他们工作的说
不是长期contractor，是正式的full-time employee
所以，我这样的都能找到工作，而且是美国大公司，又比entry level pay的更多，
那大家应该更有信心才对！
