４９年的老房子，屋子里电源大部分都没有接地线（inspection的人用一个带３个小灯
的东西检测，只有两个灯亮）。他说这个有安全隐患，需要找电工搞，要从配电板那里
入手，从那里接线，可能还需要把墙给锯开。请问熟悉这个的同学说说，自己可以搞定
吗？难弄吗？

俺没干过。
如果是整个屋子的电路改动，你要有执照吧。

windows? you can't charge while using it with windows computer. I remember
it is due to USB current limits? You can either (1) download a software to
enable it, or (2) close your ipad, it will charge.

没干过。不过很多地方owner自己弄电的话，会waive license方面的要求。
就看楼主这方面是否熟了

火灾和地线没关系，和电线的粗细有关系。

那60年中失过几次火啊。

没有底线的问题是有些电器外壳是接地线的。
如果这些电器火线不幸短路到外壳你有被电到的
可能。不过火线短到外壳的可能首先就很小，
而110V电死人的可能，基本为零。

did it many time renovating old houses. usually i try to find a metal pipe (
like water pipe or gas pipe) close by and wire the grounding bolt to it.
passed all inspections.
