I use a dock speaker by plugging in the iphone to play music and charge my
iphone.
The dock remote does not work well due to distance and angel where I sit and
work before MBP.
I wonder how to control my iphone from my macbook ?
of course, all products are connected to my home wifi.
googled results only show the reverse direction of control.

you can certainly pass instructions to an ios device through rendezvous/
Bonjour, the problem is you need to write an ios app that can accept the
command and control local volume. Both sides' api are the same, so give it a
try!
