刚收到：
"We do not have a final FY2015 budget for the ...... program, so have chosen
to hold a set of well-reviewed proposals that we may recommend for awards
if funds become available. Your proposal is one of those. There is no
guarantee that your proposal will be recommended for an award and, in fact,
there is only a very remote likelihood that all of the held-over proposals
will be funded. If we are not able to fund your proposal with current (
FY2015) funds, it will NOT be held for next year (FY2016). It is unlikely
that we will know about availability of funds until March 2015 or later."
居然要等到三月以后才有确信。 Career, BIO. 大家汇集些消息吧？不知有多大机会。

如果用金山电池管理把3G（或data)关上后，发现就再也连不上网络了，电话网都没有
，直接no network。卸载也不行，reset network settings也不行。妈的都是看版上那
个介绍装的，气死我了。重装了三次才figure out是这个破软件搞的。一开始还以为是
tetherme造成的。
不知掉ncsettings和sbsettings会不会有这种脑残的毛病。金山比较特殊的是允许把3G
关了，留2G开着。我猜是这个mess up了sprint iphone 5。其他同修有没有用
ncsettings讲讲有没有类似毛病。

我的估计是类似情况。rejections和recommended都听说了，就是自己没有任何消息。

这话我爱听。真的就好了。但Email里还说：
“Under the new 。。。 solicitation we understand that it is important to
not have this process interfere with plans you may have regarding the
upcoming January pre-proposal deadline. For that reason, we suggest that you
assume that your proposal will not be recommended for an award and that you
submit a pre-proposal, if that would have been your course of action in the
face of a "normal" decline.”
还让我发Pre-proposal, 一月deadline, 以免没拿到。哎。

有的program 所有的proposals都held over. 等到budget 清楚后，再一起决定。
我一直潜水，有了这个消息来贡献一下。

是的。我只打了一次电话。有另一个熟一点的PO说，除个别，HELD－OVER一般都能FUND
。希望快有好消息。我会UPDATE。

By the way, 我的Program panel meeting 是九月，这决定真是慢。没办法，再等几个
月吧。

我遇到的情况: ECCS Early November panel. I can tell that my proposal does
not rank as the first-priority one. But on Nov. 24, the PM sent me an Email
- “I am considering recommending your above referenced proposal for funding
. Please be mindful that this email is not a commitment of funding. This
recommendation is subjected to your satisfactorily addressing the following
issues that were raised in the review panel and availability of funds.”
And also asked me to provide an abstract and revise the budget via Fastlane.
On Dec. 1, the PM gave me a call to ask me to remove an outreach program
and move this part of the budget for the research. On Dec. 8, the PM sent me
another Email to push me to finish the responses (really lots of questions
raised from the panel, it took me two weeks to finish all responses). I sent
back the responses and the abstract about one hour after the PM’s Email.
Then nothing happened yet. The status is still pending. The status date does
not change. I sent an Email to ask the PM two days ago. The PM told me that
they are “considering for funding depending upon the availability of funds
”. 看来都在等钱。希望大家新年都有好消息。节日快乐！

Update一下，昨天status date变了，但是status is still "pending"。一个多月前，
PM要了abstract，改了budget,回答了问题。不知是好还是坏。听天由命吧

各位同行，有知道在 BIO 里最近被FUND的吗？有些领域早就知道结果了吧？多谢。
都二月了，我的 CAREER （BIO）还在被 HELD-OVER, 状态还是PENDING， PROGRAM
OFFICER 在12月份说可能要到三月才决定（EMAIL 在下面）。

根你们不一个program，但我那个PM最大的爱好就是hold，免得勇猛的pi们继续投下一
轮，能慢点是一点。

如果目前为止一个都没有fund，就不用担心拉，大家都在等。
昨天我们系一个做过nsf program manager的同事说有些program会故意拖到3,4月份才
通知career的结果，因为某些political的原因，不知道他指的是什么
