Background:
~1.5 yrs work experience at a start-up, finally finishing up my MSEE
(more like CE with a focus on networks) at a 2nd-tier school.
Thesis work is on real-time scheduling(boring, I know). Experience with
wired and wireless networks, can code in C/C++ (not very skilled
though, but willing to study and prepare for interviews).
some knowledge on embedded linux and cross-platform development.
Excellent performance reviews from former employer, I quit because I
see no future in the company.
Looking to move to WA or CA early next year(or as soon as I'm done
with my thesis).
1. What kind of positions should I look for? entry-level?
2. Any recommendation on prep materials other than programming for
EE/CE jobs?
3. What kind of offer should I expect? $82k for CA, $70k for WA, that
sound reasonable?
any EE/CE fellas with relevant interview experience care to share? The
jobhunting board is flooded with CS information and very little major
specific information is available for the rest of us.
