三月份投一个国家实验室的博后，四月的时候要过一次推荐信，以后就没消息，期间有
朋友被邀去面试。。。前两天突然收到这个项目小秘的信：
Dear XX:
The initial screening of applications for XXX has been completed.
We had many outstanding candidates and we were unable to interview everyone
we would have liked to. We were very impressed with your qualifications. If
you are still interested in the position, we encourage you to send an
updated CV before July 15, 2011. We will begin interviewing again soon.
We would like to thank you for your interest in employment with us. We wish
you success in your job search.

经常有以前的同事或同学找我帮忙设计，画图之类的。
干多了想开个咨询公司收一些新客户的单子。
不知道哪里去找新客户，或者应该怎样定位?
是简单的机械设计，制图好？还是参与一些系统设计和组装, 成为合同工？
市场大吗？
那些elance上的就算了。开价太低了。还一堆人抢。

为什么都2个月过去了我还在initial interview？
我是nonprofit而且是续签，应该2个月能搞定啊
打电话过去说是只能雇主和他们联系，郁闷

me 2. 2 months, first application, university non profit. do not know when
it is approved, my advisor did not want to pay 1k.

站方解释说，这个问题是由于系统不稳定造成，只有等到午夜12点新的一天开始之后再
行发送邮件。

the normal processing time is 2 month

2.2还可以接受你说不知道什么时候approved是啥意思，你是2.2 months收到I797？

sigh. Mine is 2.1 months now.
I plan to go back to China without the approval. Do you think there could be
any risk? I'll let the department mail the approval notice to me.

I do not think it has problem. My lawyer said I could go back if I want.
They will approve the H1B application, but reject the status change in USA
if you go back to China, so it does not matter. I found some case submitted
April 26 is still pending, not to say the cased in May.Mine is early June

看来今年真的是慢得恶心了！
去年我DIY的，而且是第一次申，一个月就批了。
今年换工作，transfer，还找了律师，收据到了快两个月了，还在initial……难道CIS
真的是缺钱花了……

8月初交材料到公司，8月底才开始premium process，9月3才收到receipt notice，16
号竟然要求补材料，估计要到10月中才能下来，晕倒～～～～什么效率！！

这位同学，能不能告诉我你补交材料的流程啊？uscis 发出来的要求补充材料的通知是
寄给你本人还是寄给帮你申请的公司啊？你收到那个通知花了多长时间啊？我的公司说
收到那个通知需要两个星期的时间。还有，你补交的材料是什么材料呢？
我现在真是着急上火啊，请不吝赐教，多谢了！

从他们确认收到pp加急，到他们第一次给你回复，超过15天，才可以要求退款，你是13
天，够狠。。。他们应该给你雇主发过一封email，上面有确认收到时间的

16号竟然要求补材料，估计要到10月中才能下来，晕倒～～～～什么效率！！

紧急求助：
如果h1b approve后，可不可以直接去公司先上班，不回国激活。等圣诞节再回国激活

可不是嘛，cis太狠了，就是等到最后一刻。他们是给公司发过一封email，上面确认收
到时间是9月3号，就是我们receipt notice上的时间。
