The southeast limb of the Moon is so different from the rest of the lunar
surface that it seems almost like another planet. It lacks the clean
distinction between mare lava and highland, having instead a series of
widespread mare deposits cluttered with old impact craters.
From various lunar atlases it's clear that this area of the Moon is much less
frequently imaged than any oth
