If it's UHaul truck, then the most important thing to do is to adjust the mirrors so you can see the blind spots BEFORE you start moving, and make sure you VERIFY it with someone to make sure you indeed can look all around the truck. It would be very late and dangerous if you come to a situation where you need to check the spot while moving, but unable to see anything. Other than that, just remember you don't accelerate and stop as quickly as your car. So give plenty of room for merging and crossing intersections.

uhal trucks are old, so don't expect very good engine. Ryder trucks are more expensive but better, I used it for my last cross- state moving about 8-9 years ago, expensive was ok because it was tax deductible that year.
