in most cases, split leather for the parts that one can touch, and vinyl for
the sides

the leather-trimmed seats when buying a higher-grade car.

看买的什么车了。菜车上，说是皮椅也不一定是真皮，豪车上，是不是真皮一定说的很
清楚的。就算是真皮，一般也有档次、手感不同的两档。
其实人造皮革更耐磨耐用，就是档次不如真皮高

当然是人造皮耐磨，也更耐撕裂。
真皮种种裂口子的别提多烦了，还要抹油保养

现在假皮越做越好，和普通真皮差别不大了。也就是高档真皮厉害，但是普通车根本没
有高档真皮。所以你开心就好

一般啥车才用高档真皮? BMW或者MB, Porsche? how about luxury cars made by GM,
Ford? Lexus or Acura? From what I see from the online photos, most American
and Japanese luxury cars use fake/synthetic leather. What a rip-off, it
seems.

美国豪车没注意，acura lexus我都具体开过，确实是真皮，但是不够高档的感觉，可
能lx系列的更好，不过没试过。奔驰s系的真皮我觉得就很高档了，那个触感完美了

Acura MDX will have genuine leather with the advance package.Pilot with EXL
and above trims.
