CA Global: Africa Positions has a client that is in need of a Primary
Account Manager. The position is based in Abu Dhabi.
Overview:
Commercial:
• To evaluate the company’s market position in the defined region
• To suggest modifications to the short term sales objectives in line
with the market situation
• To anticipate market trends and changes
Account Management:
• To maintain contact with customers
• To report on sales activities
• To keep abreast of regional trade fares
• To indicate new market trends (products, prices etc.)
• To follow-up on contract performance, customer payment terms,
delivery terms and complaints
• To manage the credit position of the customers and advise also on
credit and commercial hold
Prospecting new customers:
• To report sales and prospecting activities to the President
• To visit regional trade fares
• To visit prioritised prospects
• To initiate presentation requests and, upon approval of the
President to translate the customers’ requirements to Corporate Development
, which will make the required presentations
• To investigate the regional market for new opportunities
Selling:
• Takes care of defining the operational parameters of the logistics
contract
• To take care of the sales activities at the customers within the
region
• To report requirements for presentations and development to the
President for approval
• To negotiate new contracts
• To monitor pricing levels quoted to customers in the region
• To anticipate any new business
Budgeting:
• To help defining annual budgets
• To monitor performance against budget
• To advise the President on corrective activities
• Take responsibility for defined regional budgets
Requirements:
Education : Higher professional education
Strength : Experience in local/regional market
Proven track record in sales/account management
Strong English speaker – Arabic would be advantageous
Experience : Minimum 7 years of Sales/Account Management experience ideally
in the airline industry/airline supplier industry or Supply Chain Management
/Logistics industry
