8. Public relations committee
The work of public relations committee was operated by Chase Community
Giving in 2010. They were in charge of daily public relations and media
coordination. At the end of year 2010, they also cooperated with major
Chinese newspaper World Journal for public relation activities.
8.1 Main Activities
Chase Community Giving: From the end of 2009 to early 2010, JPMorgan
Chase organized “Chase Community Giving” donation contest on Facebook.
The public relations committee, donation committee and other teams worked
together to motivate people to donate at online forum and community in North
America, China and other overseas area. They fully utilized the online
platform. OCEF became a finalist among the Top100. OCEF won the $50000 prize
although it did not win the final million-dollar prize. During this
activity, the public relations committee coordinated with other teams,
designed and distributed the promotion material. They experimented
extensively on the online platform and tried to established communication
with the media in China. They hope this effort could serve as a solid
foundation for future promotion.
“Finance Talents” magazine May Issue report: Finance Talents is a Chinese
magazine focusing on Finance, economics and talents. In their May Issue
Pubic Welfare column, they reported OCEF’s teacher’s donation project with
featured pictures. The publishing increased OCEF’s publicity.

“World Journal” newspaper report: At the end of 2010, a world journal
journalist conducted a special interview with the President of OCEF. A
feature article titled “Feature report: School Aid寒梅傲霜(??)” was
published on “World Weekly” on Dec 12 which presented comprehensive
details about OCEF. World Journal is an influential Chinese newspaper in US
. Via “World Journal” ‘s feature report, OCEF has greatly
maximized influence on North America Chinese community.
