If I contribute after tax money to non-tax deductible traditional IRA and
then convert to roth IRA. when i retire and withdraw the money, i don't need
to pay any tax ,right?

我现在刚开始办豁免的事，网上查了查，需要J1豁免的只有以下情况：
You are subject to the two year home residency requirement if you are:
1.Funded in whole or in part by your home government or the United States
government, or funded indirectly by a government for the purpose of
international exchange

If it's not deducted when you contribute to a traditional IRA, yes, you don'
t pay tax on distribution.
