回信了,有点长,但基本上有那句说那句,其实我还是蛮想去旅游一下吃好吃的,不过
好像的确不太好。
"Thank you very much again for the interview invitation. I got an offer
just TODAY from a school that I interviewed in January. Although it's still
an oral offer, I think I will very likely accept that in the short future.
I am not sure how you view about this. If you think because I have committed
myself to the XXX interview so that I should still fulfill that promise
anyway, I'd be more than happy to visit XXX and meet with faculty members
there, even though my mind has been pretty much made up towards another
offer. (I seriously love to do that, if that is what I should do, as I like
traveling and meeting people)
If, however, you think that given the current situation, it would be a waste
of time, energy and financial resource on the XXX side to continue such an
interview with me, I will feel totally comfortable and fair that you cancel
the interview and that I withdraw my application. I think this is
particularly proper if my visit to XXX may hurt the chance of XXX to
secure its best candidate or it hurts the chance of someone to secure his/
her position at XXX, which I guess is the case.
If the second scenario is the case, please accept my apology for not being
able to further consider XXX given the change of situation. I sincerely
thank you for the invitation, which meant a lot to me. I really look forward
to other opportunities of meeting you."
