近日在大连某医院发生一起事件，深夜急诊挂号台一位工作人员一直低头找东西，不办
理业务，后面排着约十几个人的队，等着挂号，她不但不工作还语言激烈，谴责病人找
钱的时候不拿现在反倒找事。
身后有被猫抓伤流血的患者一直挂不上急诊，病人家属表示深夜挂急诊都是病情急，不
能耽误，谴责这位工作人员没有医德，挂号室只有两个人，挂完号在慢慢找也不急，并
且只是一点零钱，没有多少，实在不应该用这样的行为耽误患者。
至病人的生命于不顾，这样的医疗工作人员实在不适合继续在医院工作。
还骂出污言秽语，说病人都是外来人，你们不记我着急，病人表示现在还在流血呢，谁
着急，能不能有点医德。
由于这次事件被传播到网络上引起群众的关注，现在医院已经给出处分，表示工作人员
由于工作方面问题予以扣除绩效和留岗查看的处分。
同时工作人员本人也意识到自己行为的严重性，向广大市民道歉，并且严格遵守身为一
个医护人员的职责，一切以病人为重。
对于这个处分很多人表示太清了，如果当时有十分凶险的病情，她能否负的了责任。

本人博士和博后（现在是第三年）阶段的工作都是关于非常基础的机制研究，但越来越
发现自己对目前所做的工作失去兴趣，越是研究的深入，越发现所做的工作除了发发
paper，实在没有太多的实际用处。最近一直在思考是不是应该转向新的方向，做些靠
近临床的工作，接近应用的东东。由于一直以来所用的模型还是以肿瘤为主，基本上就
是利用肿瘤细胞系进行信号转导通路的研究，所以想靠向Translational cancer
medicine方面，不知道版上有没有朋友在进行此类的研究。这方面自己虽然感兴趣，但
一时不知道从何入手，希望版友能帮忙提点建议，指指目前这个领域的研究方向，和研
究热点，以及美国现在有哪些实验室在这个领域比较领先。

没有医学训练的人在translational research很难找到可以连贯做下去的方向。

Sometimes I got really confused, what is translational medicine?
In the case of papers, I saw people just do some array screening of patients
and somehow correlates it with some mechanism. Is that it?

I have been living in the similar confusion for quite a while.. But from my
point of view, the question in the field of the translational medicine
should come from clinical practice, and the answer of the question would
help to design strategies for disease prognosis and/or therapy. As for basic
research, the question always originates in the curiosity of the scientists
.
