癌症病人有的知道了以后吓得要死，吃也吃不下，睡也睡不着。就加速了肌肉的猥琐。
以后的事就是意料之中的。

True, many patients with terminal diseases usually die with symptom of
cachexia. However, is it merely a side result of the dying body? Or is it
part of the pathological cause of death? This "cause" and "effect"

连我这种从临床半路出家学生物的人，被学生物的老师教的，思路越来越脱离临床，越

这个如果成功，能够延长肿瘤病人带瘤生存时间，绝对是一个超级超级重磅药。适应范围太
广了，几乎任何肿瘤和慢性病。一年几百亿美元绝对没问题。

the doctors know it(not prove it, one doesn't have to)...the more I research

let me say it this way: biology and medicine are different subject, people
speak different languages. The more I talk with physician and biologist,
the more I realize this. I think it is very important for biologist to
learn medicine.
BTW, I never consider myself as a biologist. I think I am a scientist
working on cancer.

的确，很多临床上的直觉性的认识还没有得到生物学上的证实。
我们要想直接对人类作贡献的话，的确应该多去听听有关的医学讲座，
和医生多聊聊。
不过不幸的是。。。美国的大部分医生自视甚高，一般不太理睬作基础研究的人。
另外，作基础研究的同学们也不要妄自菲薄。要不是基础研究发现了activin receptor
pathway 以及小分子筛选技术，这个研究是做不下去的。

way as well, always thinking
MD is such a big deal....I would say what is the heck, big deal...for many,
it is just a choice of career or matter
of interest...
