Is this a pY705 STAT3?
It may be recognizing both serine and tyrosine phosphorylated stat3.

could be a small isoform. there are many reports about small isoforms of
Stat family. however, some researchers think they are caused by protein
degradation during cell lysate preparation.

I am using Phospho-Stat3 (Tyr705) (#9145) from cell signaling.
I favor the answer of small isoforms. Maybe they have different functions.

我用的BD的Y705，非常好，就一条带。你这个大小差别有10kd了吧，不像是stat3 beta

Just got the reply from the CST. It seems the lower band is isoform beta.

Thank you for your inquiry regarding our Phospho-Stat3 (Tyr705) (D3A7) XP
174; Rabbit mAb #9145. The top band, at 86kDa, represents Phospho-
Stat3alpha. The bottom band, at 79kDa, represents Phospho-Stat3beta isoform

"Stat3 isoform expression appears to reflect biological function as the
relative expression levels of Stat3α (86 kDa) and Stat3β (79 kDa) depend
on cell type, ligand exposure, or cell maturation stage (10). It is notable
that Stat3β lacks the serine phosphorylation site within the carboxy-
terminal transcriptional activation domain (8)."
