已经拿到三封还不够，偏偏还要我博厚老板的，可明明知道他不会给我好的推荐，已经
被他搞掉了几个申请，真头痛。

I am always extremely curious which post-doctoral adviser won't want their
student to move forward. If your post-doctoral adviser want you to stay
because of how good you are and it is explained by other reference letter.
I think it is a plus not a minus.

手上有货，得不到老板支持，自己找到位置得多了去了。

非常理解你现在的处境。我前段时间也是因为这个纠结。当时被实验室里另外一个薄厚
欺负，我老板的态度立场也不明确。我当时很生气也很绝望，没有跟老板撕破脸的情况
下我不声不响申请了一个另外一个实验室的薄厚。没有把老板写进推荐人里，当时想的
是如果对方要我再给老板说。要是对方问为啥已开始没写老板，我打算说因为合同未到
期老板不想让我走，同时这个新实验室的新项目是在太吸引人，所以不由自主就申请了
，就打算先申请看看再说。
我很走运的是我投了申请没几天我老板就把问题帮我解决了，不然到时候还真是一个需
要动很大脑子的难题。

why? because not every PI follows his rules like you do. Some PIs go against
it, which is not rare.
