Examples of Work:
Obtain and manage various health related databases; perform routine data
linkages among various databases and validate linkage results; provide
assistance in preparing data summary reports; design methods to analyze and
interpret imputed date sets; document methods and procedures for data
storage, management, linkage and analysis; work on other duties as assigned.
Qualifications / Requirements:
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelors Degree in Public Health, Statistics, or Health
Education with three years of experience in data analysis, statistics, and
interpretation of epidemiological data in the relevant disease/health
subject area OR Masters Degree in statistics or related field and experience
with SAS.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of: epidemiological research practices and procedures for the
collection, analysis, evaluation, and validation of health/disease data sets
; descriptive statistics, statistical inference, and statistical theory;
public health principles and health care delivery systems. Ability to: make
presentations, use problem solving techniques, communicate effectively,
evaluate impact of health/disease initiatives, conduct advanced statistical
analyses and interpret results, advise program officials on best
epidemiological approach.
