Position Description A research associate position is available immediately in immunology and cell biology in a multidisciplinary, well-funded research group in the Department of Oral Immunology and Infectious Diseases (Dr. Richard Lamont). Highly motivated, hard-working, and technically skilled applicants are welcome to apply. The project involves neutrophil responses to oral bacteria and the signaling pathways that regulate the intensity of inflammation. Experience with neutrophil biology, western blotting, quantitative RT-PCR, confocal microscopy, tissue culture, transfection/transduction of cultured cells, and mice husbandry is desirable. Applicants should have a Ph.D. in Immunology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, or a related field. Candidates should be able to generate data independently and have a working knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and be at least familiar with GraphPad and Adobe Illustrator.
