We have locked our rate 45 days before closing date at 4.5% for 30year fix.
Now the rate has dropped to 4.25% for 30years fix. There are still three
weeks before closing. Should we ask our load officer to relock our rate?

目前大部分银行rate掉0.375%才能renegotiate rate，而且一旦成功，需要在15天内
close这个loan。
问问LZ的agent吧。

要看你用的是哪家银行了。我们给客户做的re-lock包括re-lock在同一利率，但可有更
多的lender credit，或re-lock至更低一些的利率。但不管哪种，都需要付一定点的罚
金（0.25-0.5 point），而且通常只能在贷款完全批准后才够资格re-lock。
