Try those financial engineer programs...
but normally there is no any assistantship.
u will need to know Eco sooner or later...
Try John Hull's book.

John C. Hull is the director of finance group at University of Toronto, he
published several books on Finance such as: <Derivatives>>, <>, <to Futures and Options Markets>> and <>. However I
would recommend you to read <> published by

No, by Brealy & Myers. Classic corporate finance book. But given analog's
background, he might as well start with Hull's book - Options, Futures and
Other Derivatives. It is the bible on Wall Street.
