有hedge fund，有些是base在内地做H股和美股，还有些是和QFII一起做A股。

中国不允许Short，所谓的hedge fund到了中国都在做long trading...

if they focus on domestic equities, they do not hedge. just adopt conservative approach and surf the high wave..

不一定非要short才可以hedge risk，尽管Long/Short占很大的比重
可以买不同产业的股票来对冲风险：比如石油行业和航空业

I think future trading is also forbidden in China..so the heating gas and
airplane gas deal does not work there.
anyway, you may be right. There does exist some hedging opportunities
between industries, like sunglass and rain coat...

我个人觉得国内市场的流通性不强，做hedge fund的非流通性风险太大了。
