As in Europe and the US, the banking and finance industry in Hong Kong and
Singapore is undoubtedly a young person's game.
Amanda Lote, director at search firm Profile Search and Selection, says the
average age of candidates they see for front-office banking roles at VP
level and above is early to mid thirties, with at least six to eight years'
banking experience. She adds that people with 20 years' plus experience
would be considered difficult to place.
