据报道，在25日下午，韩国首枚运载火箭“罗老”号搭载着本国生产的科学技术
卫星，在罗老宇航中心发射升空。韩国教育科学技术部长官安秉万在宇航中心的记者会
上说：“发射后一级引擎和二级固体燃料引擎启动正常，卫星也正常分离，但未能按原
计划进入目标轨道。”
韩国首枚运载火箭发射并示顺利，原定在19日下午发射，因火箭测压软件出现异常导致
发射程序自动中止。“罗老”号运载火箭是在俄罗斯技术帮助下研制的，一级火箭由俄
罗斯制造，二级火箭由韩国制造。火箭总重140吨，长33米，直径2.9米，计划把一颗重
100公斤的卫星送入地球轨道。

GLCACS is a local chapter of Chinese-American Chemical Society (CACS)
representing the Chinese-American
chemists and chemical engineers in Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin,
Michigan, Minnesota, Iowa, and Ohio. CACS is
the only Chinese-American professional organization that is officially
recognized by both American
Chemical Society (ACS) and the American Institute of Chemical
Engineers (AIChE).
Mark your calendar for this special event! There will be free pizza
provided at noon, and a poster
competition with a total amount of $600 award! We are looking forward
to your participation to share your
knowledge and interest in your research area with us!
If you are a student in a university, we would really
appreciate if you could kindly help us forward this
announcement to the university students' mailing list (such as your
department mailing list, CSSA, etc).
