Job Title:
Research Scientist-Vibrational Spectroscopy
Job Requirements:
• Ph.D. in physics, materials science or chemistry
• Strong theoretical and experimental skills in both FT-IR and Raman
spectroscopies, including
familiarity with a wide range of sampling approaches for different material
types
• Hands-on experience utilizing FT-IR interpretation for structural
elucidation
• Demonstrated ability to conduct independent and collaborative
research
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
• Spectroscopic analysis of polymeric samples
• FT-IR microscopy and/or confocal Raman microscopy experience
• Familiarity with polarized Raman spectroscopic techniques
• Chemometric techniques for the analysis of spectroscopic data
• Development and implementation of online spectroscopic methods (i.e.
, Process Analytical
Technology)
