About the Role
We are looking for a Research Associate team member who will partner with
the successful delivery of world-class in vitro diagnostic (IVD) quality
products for Guardant Health as we undergo an explosive growth phase. You
will work closely with the R&D teams to perform laboratory experiments
including sample preparation, nucleic acid extraction, PCR-based test, NGS
library preparation and sequencing for IVD product development. You’ll
have the opportunity to be a part of the execution of study protocols use in
the support of regulatory submissions, and participate in assay testing and
optimization. You will be able to execute validation studies, maintain
detailed laboratory notebook and records, and also able to work with other
scientists to plan experimental studies and resolve technical issues.
About You
You’re committed to the development of IVD instruments that provide rapid
and accurate diagnostic test results, and you’ll partner with the
automation aspect of the IVD product process implementation. You have a
track record of partnering successfully with development teams on all
aspects of design and implementation of automated solutions, including
collaboration with assay development and bioinformatics to generate IVD
development plans for existing and future products.
You bring:
BS/MS in Life Sciences
5+ years of industry experience, preferably working in an FDA regulated
environment
Experience working in assay development (preferred IVD assay development).
Excellent molecular biology skills. Required Experience with nucleic acid
extraction and PCR. Experience in digital PCR and NGS preferred.
Strong organizational skills and great attention to details
Good documentation practices and Good laboratory practices.
Good record keeping for laboratory notebook and records.
Experience following SOP or executing a study plan.
