- Are you sure it is chickenpox vaccine? if you are sure about it, it is
true that aspirin should not be used within 6 weeks after chickenpox
vaccination. However, unless your daughter is definitely diagnosed with Reye
syndrome, you will not win the lawsuit. If Reye syndrome is diagnosed, and
clearly aspirin was used within 6 weeks after chickenpox vaccination, then
you will have some chance to win. It is just unfortunate that your daughter
went through this, several things happened to happen together: from your
description, chickenpox vaccination->Kawasaki->aspirin use->possible Reye.
Note: chickenpox does not cause Kawasaki, so the first doctor has no fault,
the problem is the second doctor, did you tell him/her about the vaccination
history before aspirin use?
