看了一些Assistant Professor教职机会招聘启事,最低的要求就已经很高了,比如
1. Completed PhD from an AACSB accredited institution.Service must help the
College of Business reach its goal of AACSB Accreditation.
也就是说AACSB accredited institution以外的学校培养的phd都没有机会?
2.Applicants must provide evidence of effective teaching at the college/
university level and the ability to teach successfully in the department
也就是说要求在美国高校教学经验和能力,是否意味中国高校教学经验和能力等于0?
?是否意味华人英语能力要超级强大??
3.relevant experience in a business setting.
也就是说要求相关专业在美国实业届工作的经历??
4. The candidate will publish in the field’s leading national and
international journals(publications in Tier I or Tier II journals)
也就是要在高级别刊物发表若干论文,有相当难度把??
5.Duties will include conducting scholarly activities and providing
administrative services to the department, college, and university as well
as professional services to appropriate national organizations.
也就是要服从组织安排,任劳任怨。
个人觉得比如要求在美国高校教学经验、相关专业在美国实业届工作的经历以及华人英
语能力要超级强大、高级别刊物发表若干论文难度都有点大。
但这还只是最低要求,不知道所有简历收集以后,这些一般大学(相当国内二类高等学
校把)Assistant Professor教职机会的竞争有多么多么激烈加惨烈???
我本人是搞人力资源管理的,也可以转到组织行为学上面;有人说搞这些学科的会遇到
严重的文化冲突问题,华人很不容易得到offer,很容易失业。这两个专业哪个教职(
要求不高,含讲师级别)机会的竞争会小一点???请各位过来人给意见,谢谢阿!!
