Physical Chemistry Postdoc Research Opportunity at Boston University
Xin Chen’s research group, newly-founded at Boston University, Department
of Chemistry in 2011, is seeking a postdoctoral researcher (or a visiting
scholar) with experience in ultrafast laser spectroscopy and nonlinear
optics. His/her major responsibility would be to set up and carry
experiments using a board-band vibrational sum-frequency spectrometer and
imaging system. Candidates experienced in nonlinear vibrational
spectroscopy (such as SFG, IR pump-probe, 2D-IR, Raman, etc) are
particularly encouraged to apply.
The laboratory is located at Bosto
n University Photonics Center http://www.bu.edu/photonics/, an integrated facility that hosts and promotes highly interdisciplinary collaborations among chemists, physicists, engineers, and entrepreneurs. This position would be ideal for an individual interested in applying his/her expertise of ultrafast vibrational spectroscopy to fundamental and applied research in the fields of physical, materials, and biological sciences.
Principle Investigator: Dr. Xin Chen, Ph.D., Stanford; Postdoc, TAMU and
Harvard. More information can be found at http://www.bu.edu/chemistry/faculty/chen/.
Area of interest: physical chemistry, surface science, materials science,
biophysics, and biomedical engineering.
Preferred Starting Date: December 2011
Contact Information: please send your full CV to x****[email protected] (in a single
pdf file).
