The position is available immediately at Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, College of Pharmacy, University of Nebraska Medical Center, under the mentoring of Dr. Dong Wang. Our research interests are: Macromolecular therapies for inflammatory diseases. Dentrotropic therapies for oral and craniofacial diseases. Targeted therapies for musculoskeletal diseases. Click chemistry for drug delivery and nanomedicine. Biocompatible polymers for biomedical applications. Prodrug design. The postdoc position provides advanced multidisciplinary training opportunity in the area of pharmaceutical chemistry, drug delivery, protein formulation development, pharmacology and immunology. Major duty of this position including nano-formulation development, in vitro/in vivo characterization and evaluation of the formulations. Qualifications: PhD in pharmaceutical sciences, biology, synthetic chemistry or related field. Protein and liposome formulation experience is a MUST. Experience with protein characterization and stabilization is highly preferred. Solid knowledge in drug delivery, and desirably in biochemistry and polymer chemistry.
