标 题: Postdoctoral positions are available at Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine
发信站: BBS 未名空间站 (Sun Apr 12 12:12:21 2015, 美东)
Postdoctoral scientist positions are available starting in July 2015 in the
Molecular and Cellular Cancer Biology Lab of Dr. Wei Li. Our lab is part of
Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center and Pennsylvania State
University College of Medicine located in Hershey, Pennsylvania.
We are interested in studying intercellular interactions during tissue
homeostasis and determining how de-regulated interactions among cells
promote cell transformation and tumor progression. The goal of our research
is to find molecular targets and biomarkers for cancer therapy. We integrate
molecular, cellular, and biochemical approaches in combination with mouse
tumorigenesis models. Currently, one of our major focuses is elucidating the
regulation and function of the Hippo tumor suppressor pathway in cancer. In
addition, we are using in vitro and in vivo models to dissect biological
interactions between heterogeneous malignant cells and to study functional
consequences of intra-tumor heterogeneity. For Dr. Wei Li’s full
publication list, please refer to: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/sites/myncbi/1PqbyabYnsrQi/bibliography/43834067/public/?sort=date&direction=ascending
We are looking for a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher with strong
interests in the molecular basis of cancer. The candidate should have strong
research experience in biochemistry, molecular and cellular biology. A
background in mouse models of cancer, especially brain tumors, is preferred.
Successful applicants should have a recent PhD or MD degree and are
expected to have a strong work ethic, excellent organizational and
communication skills, and critical thinking abilities.
Salary will be commensurate with experience and will adhere to current NIH
guidelines.
Please upload the following documents at https://psu.jobs/job/56700 CV,
statement of research interest, expected availability date along with
contact information for three references (including previous advisors).
Additionally, please send the information to Dr. Li at: [email protected]
