Two Postdoctoral Positions Available Immediately at Dr. Xiangqun Zeng’s Research Lab at Oakland University, Rochester, Michigan. Two postdoctoral positions supported by National Institute of Environmental Health Science (NIEHS) in the area of developing miniaturized electrochemical sensor array for assessment of acute exposure to airborne pollutants are available immediately. This is a five year interdisciplinary project. The candidates will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with Dr. Andrew Mason’s lab at Department of Electrical Engineering at Michigan State University and Dr. J. Tim Dvonch at Environmental Health Science Department at University of Michigan. Oakland University is a public institution, located in Rochester Michigan, a suburb of Detroit with heavy industrial base nearby (e.g. the major research and development centers of Daimler-Chrysler North American, Ford, and General Motors). Candidate must have a Ph.D. in chemistry or chemical engineering or related field and strong background in electrochemistry and surface chemistry. Candidates who have experience in electronic nose, electrochemical gas sensor development, ionic liquid materials are encouraged to apply.
