pr = public relations
basically reframing the public conversation in America
to gain credibility, discredit the liars, hypocrites
and murderers and rapists.
The Japanese PR machine is much better than the Chinese
PR machine.
It basically reframes the public conversation in America
to gain credibility, discredits the Chinese and reminds
America at every turn that the Chinese are ideologically
different, are big, are bad at human rights and
threatening to the US, blah blah blah.
In the last couple of years, the Chinese has made a
lot of progress in human rights (abolishing labor camps,
burning ivory to show the Chinese stand on animal rights,
more freeing up of the economy, giving New York Times
and bloomberg journalists visas, relaxing 1-child policy,
generally working on good relationship with Koreans and
Taiwanese). These are all very commendable PR moves.
While Japan after Fukushima is going the opposite direction
with a) electing Abe, b) criminalizing journalists for vaguely
defined "state secrets", c) Abe's "private" visit to
Yakuzuni shrines with 100+ of his officials, d) Japanese
batteries exploding on Boeing 787, and of course, e) Fukushima
is still out-of-control despite Abe's swearing up and
down that it's under control to get Tokyo Olympics.
The Japanese needs to know: the higher she climbs the
harder she will fall. She fouled her own neighborhood,
so none of her neighbors could bear to look at her
in the eye without throwing up at her sneaky hypocrisy.
The Chinese needs to learn from the Japanese, not to
do what the Japanese did. We should NOT bully our
neighbors; we should not divide our neighbors;
we should not instigate wars/revolutions in our neighbors
with sweet words and sly diplomacy (that was Japan's
trademark).
we should go in peace, we should keep peace in our
neighborhood, we should build trust wherever we go,
we should be honest and not be greedy,
we should be kind and not be mean.
we should be a true friend not a betrayor like
our neighbor Japan.
