2006 marks the second year of the Trio-conducting system for PSO. No other
industry is better at covering facts (probably except G. W. Bush) than music
business: Here was the deep-ailing PSO two years ago, with growing deficit
and no where to find a conductor suitable for the orchestra. However, the
marketing dept. described the trio system not as an interim, but as a brave
new step and experiment for future US orchestras.
It may be unfair to call the trio-system a failure but it is definitely
