I own both of above but like Walter's more which I once heard from
LP. Meantime, I think I have merely a poor understanding to this work,
vague impression plus indescribable impulsions. In fact, it seems to
me to communicate with Mahler is subtler, deeper thus easier than with
Beethoven for his richer sensitivity. But at once I would to say it's
harder to grip the structural, the spirital meaning in Mahler than in
Beethoven maybe for they have different art ideal as well as doctrine.
