am writing a letter to a cellist i admire very much
but i think "Mr." cannot show my respect
is there something else i can use?
for example you call a conductor maestro...

hey, i'm serious ...
just between u and me, i just went to the best concert in my life.
it was a cellist just recovered from life-threatening disease at
our hospital and
he gave this informal performance to give thanks. i was 5 feet away
from him. I couldn't breathe when he played. i always call myself a music
lover but now I know i had always been deaf. i couldn't have imagined
that you can put so much into a piece of music. the heaviness cripples me.
i need a long time to recover from this. I

我倒没打算跟他混熟/现在觉得拉大提的人太了不得了/我只有
敬畏/广而言之/我对所有为艺术而承受苦难的人都只有敬畏
和感激/终于切身的感受到为什么柴可夫斯基写悲怆的时候
会流泪到不能自已/为什么艺术家都较早就死去
他们对生命的感受太深重/早早就会把自己烧完
现在真觉得原来的音乐都白听了/博物馆也白去了
好些作品应该听了看了以后或喜或悲/激动万分/很久之内
都不能再听看别的东西的/不过我要真这样的话
恐怕也活不长了

我承认我非常幸运/其实是否名家演奏并不重要/
重要的是你是否得到了作曲家和演奏家想给你的东西
我今天读到演奏家演奏时很重要的一个技巧是要控制自己
不能太EMOTIONAL否则影响他的表达
我不知道他今天演奏是什么状态/生命失而复得/
很难做到不EMOTIONAL吧
无论如何/我听到了作曲家的声音/
也听到了他附加在那之上的他自己的声音
可以说音乐第一次向我打开大门
除此以外/别的都不重要吧
