I saw two programs in one university and I am interested in both of them.
The problem is: these two departments have a lot of overlapping research
area and some of their faculties are adjunct between each other.
So if I apply for both of them, would this make them unhappy?
The background is: I have already applied for one of the program and they
have indicated initial interest in me. However, nothing is guaranteed until
the final offer stage (which is at least six months from now).
I have not applied for the other program yet but their deadline is tomorrow.
So I am struggling about it.
I wonder, if you are in the faculty search committee, would you be bothered
if you found out I also applied for another department in your school after
you told me you will be interested in me?

昨天Frys的经典deal：
Polk Audio RTi12，$299 each

准备就此买receiver and/or amplifier.
由于RTi12的power是50-500W，研究了网上的各种评论得到结论：要发挥RTi12的best
performance，最好买receiver + external amplifier。一个推荐组合是：Onkyo TX-
NR828 + Emotiva XPA-3. 但，太豪华了不是？
能不能简单点买个Onkyo TX-NR727 at $449? (110W each channel at 8 Ohms) 普通大
小的房间也不会过分吵闹。其实Onkyo TX-NR626只要$269 at 95W each channel。

漫画故事是以吸血鬼石假面开始的，也是一代又一代盘根错节的姻缘交缠在一起的产物
，老师对于这些故事的诠释都非常圆满，而且剧情跟着漫画推进的速度很快，几乎囊括
了现在有的所有时间线，老师的第八部已经是半未来主义了。
但不论是过去还是将来每一代的设计都很时尚，夸张但是非常显示当时的流行风格和老
师对时尚的追求，后来老师去做古驰的设计师了，你们懂的。
整个漫画张力很强，不只是画风更是剧情走向，老师对于故事的掌控真的不错，但有的
时候忘记设定那就...比如说六部的安娜苏本来是女的改男的了，之前一些配角的设定
一开始不是这样的也被改了。这大概就是连载的时间长了给忘记了吧。
荒木老师的最大特点，一个就是脑洞大，想法多，付诸实现的可能性无限大。基本就是
别人怕麻烦或者不喜欢的设定，老师都拿回来用了，而且因为是初期作品就在市场上站
稳脚跟了所以后期的作者再画再做也是后期只能是学老师的而已。另外一个就是老师画
的快，一周几天就搞定了自己的稿子，还有时间自己描线什么的，我真的佩服到哭出来
，看老师行云流水的一个小时，世界观都没了。就别提了。再来就是老师敢于使用一些
科幻和不切实际的梗还能把它们画的很有逻辑，其实有的故事真的逻辑性很差，或者说
我这等小民是看不懂里面的故事线的。但是老师就那么给你一个大框架勾着你往下走，
逻辑你就都抛开了。最后就是老师画的好，不是重洋内外的事情，真的好看！是吧！西
撒！！！！！！！
嘿嘿嘿，不要脸的强推一下我最喜欢的漫画和动画吧。好些天没来了，肯定没人想我哈
哈！

Generally speaking it shouldn't be a problem. If the school functions well,
the two will coordinate in terms of their interviewees (if they don't, bad
sign).
In your particular case, it depends on how much they've indicated their
initial interest. I'll probably err on the side of sending the second.

这个灵敏度90的dB, receiver 就够了吧

The first program wrote back to me after three weeks of my application to
express their interest and said they will call me sometime next week. So I
guess I passed their first round? However there should still be second round
and third round so nothing is fixed yet.

您推荐选哪个receiver？

建议你从626试起，不好就退呗。

thank you for updating.
Good luck. It is likely the phone will bring your interview.
It is not common to have "phone interview" for biology,
especially by good schools. They will interview ~ 6 candidates
on site anyway.
