Not sure what is the transition temparature. But principly, two adjacent te
mperature systems should have good overlap of energy distribution.

Suppose you are doing Parallel tempering in canonical emsembles, if you
replace one canonical
simulation with microcanonical simulation for one replica, does this affect
the canonical disbributions of
other replicas?
