Hi,
Does anyone have any idea to prove the following inequality :
Assuming a, b, c and q are real numbers satisfying :
1) a>=1, b>=1 , c>=1 , q>=1
2) abs(a-b) where abs() denotes absolute values.
3) q>=2
Prove:
abs(a^q-b^q) where ^ stands for power and q is the exponent.
Any suggestions and comments are very welcome.
Thanks.
